PUBLIC NOTICE – CITY COUNCIL VACANCY
OFFICE OF ALDERMAN/COUNCIL MEMBER
Due to recent resignations and changes on the City Council there is now a vacant seat on the Moody City Council.
The City of Moody is a Type ‘A’ Municipality with a Manager-Council Form of Government.
The City Council has established policy that Council vacancies will be filled by appointment after taking applications from City of Moody Citizens who meet the State qualifications for election. Minimum Qualifications for City Alderman (Council Member other than Mayor) Appointees:
Six months residency within the corporate city Limits and be a registered voter.
To Apply: Complete the simple one page application(State mandated candidate form). Also submit a one page “Letter of Intent and Qualification.”
Applications will be accepted until close of business April 22, 2019
Selection will be made at a Called Session of the City Council April 25, 2019 @ 5:30PM
